Avraham Yustman

Yustman is a haredi (ultra-Orthodox). He has a L.L.B from Ono Academic College, and an M.A in History and Sociology of Israel from Haifa University. He is a member of the Knesset’s Central Elections Committee, and a member of the board of the Economic Company of the Israel Bar Association. Yustman serves as chair of the Property Tax Appeals Committee of the Beitar Illit Municipality. He is a graduate of the Gesher Leadership Institute, and active in its haredi section. For the past ten years, He has served as vice-president of the Kemach Foundation, the central employment organization for Israel’s haredi community. It offers a range of solutions for employing haredim, with partnerships across the government, academic, philanthropic, and community sectors. He is responsible for developing and running programs for the Foundation, among them: Kivun, operated in conjunction with the Jerusalem Municipality and Israel’s Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services; the Bizmax initiative, a business hub for haredi entrepreneurs and the self-employed, whice is apartnership with the Jerusalem Development Authority; and the Mashpi’im program for haredi civil servants in training, in conjunction with the Civil Service Commission, the Ministry of Labor, and the Ministry of the Interior.
Resident of Beitar Illit, belonging to the Hassidic community. He is married with five children.
