In mid-June, we had the last meeting of our Living Together Generators Forum. The participants were content development directors from various organizations such as Ahari, Scouts, Ofek, Aluma, Israeli Hope, The Center for Cyber Education, Merhavim and the Yesod program of Ma’ase Center. The Forum was convened by a public request following a 2-day experiential workshop attended by 40 participants from public, social and business organizations to promote shared values and develop new approaches for challenges in the public discourse.
The forum included 5 meeting and dealt with diverse discourse related issues and hosted Bari Rosenberg, Director of Dibur Acher to discuss Living Together on social media; Natalie Levy, from the Tel Aviv University, to present a study on “circumstantial integration” – a combination of unplanned and inevitably created circumstances; Gili Rai and Yigal Klein, members of the Living Together Task Force, to lead a discourse on liberalism and conservatism; and Ofir Tobol to lead a discussion on tradition and human rights.
The forum was hosted by various organizations and it focused on different issues in each session. It cultivated a professional peer group that promoted Living Together tools and experiences in order to generate possible solutions to influence organizational work plans. Participants also forged new partnerships and exchanged professional information.
