Gili Rei
[Task Force]

Married with two children, Gili lives in Jerusalem and works with the "Sikui" (chance) Association as co-manager of the Shared Society department. Joining "Sikui" in February 2015 was a natural step for Rei, after years of being involved with social organizations, working in the fields of education, social change and human rights.
Rei began her career in informal education with the Melitz Organization, and in 1999, she joined the team of the New Israel Fund (NIF), first as an assistant to the deputy directors and later as a member of the grants team. In 2003, Rei was made manager of the Association for Commitment to Peace and Social Justice, and in 2009, she was nominated a deputy director of the Civil Rights Association in Israel – in charge of the organization's public activity. As part of her activities in the CRA, and with the help of the "Shaharit" Institute, she promoted the process of "Tradition and Human Rights", where for three years people of the association had met with ultra-orthodox Sephardic education professionals. Rei has a Bachelor's degree in education and art history from the Hebrew University. She is a co-founder of the Jerusalem branch of the Social-Economic Academy (SEA), active in the "Two States One Homeland Movement" and is a member of the executive committee of HaMishmar HaChevrati (social guard). Rei is also a co-chairperson of the bilingual school "Yad BeYad" in Jerusalem, where both her children learn.
